Certification becomes a crucial issue discussed by the lecturers of State Polytechnic of Jakarta especially the period of lecturer’s certification. Some people feel shocked and can not receive the recent condition and reality. One point we need to learn that there is qualification and requirement needed to get it.Many years ago, most of us just gave attention to earn money, and never thought about career advancement and development. We were drowned to handle the ceremonies and neglected researches and public services. Time goes by and furthermore the requirement for certification by  government is a must. No body can deny it and we must obey the regulation. There is a deep inside regret. But it is one consequence to go and not to go, to do or not to do, to be and not to be. Obtaining lecturer certification  is a progress to career development and  improvement. Lecturer’s certification is the reflection of government attention, government appreciation to the world of education.
    At the moment, State Polytechnic of Jakarta has second opportunity to have its lecturers certified. Despite the pro and contra opinion, the rules enforcement has to be done. We hope, there is no objection and unfair feeling. It opens our mind and builds awareness to choose career advancement better than earning money temporarily. Let’s  do qualified ones, not just get the coin, but point.
