A serious ban on smoking gets various perception, reaction and opinion from public. If the ban is going ahead, the smoking already forbidden in factory, and it will no longer be allowed in the offices, in the canteen and reception areas. Smoker is facing more pressure than ever before to give up from both health and special reason. Smoking ban bring both positive and negative impact in every sphere, such as: political, economic, tourism, cultural and education. In political field, the smoking ban brings the decreasing of job field, if the job field gets decreased, it makes critical condition and the crime. The image of thousand labors worked in cigarette industries will be laid off and loose their employment in economy, for economic reason the existence and the presence of cigarette industry create the job field for tobacco and clove farmers. The cigarette factory gives the custom tax for the state and beside that many grant events get fund from cigarrette producers. Abundant of positive contribution given by cigarette industries is not better than wasting resources to do recovery. To apply smoking ban on public places is not easy although the smoking ban has already spread and widely promoted on audio visual media as well as billboard. World Health Organization research said that 1, 1 million in the world, 800 of them are heavy smoker. Smoking habit is hard to stop, particularly in those developing countries. Indonesia as developing country gets the first rank as cigarettes consumer in the world. WHO said that after campaign of smoking ban there is no decrease indication of cigarette consumption in developing countries, but we can see decrease indication in developed countries. Smoking get pro and contra perception and opinion.
The National Social Economical Survey Board 2008 said that from economic point of view, the presence or contribution of cigarette factory gives 10 trillion for the state income, but the expenses for health recovery caused by jeopardizing people health condition due to smoking habit spend 30 trillion per year. Smoking ban is good one to survive, good warning and protect environment, nature, kids and life.
